Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026. This policy covers the FIVE website and the FIVE mobile app.
The short version
FIVE has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no third-party trackers. We never ask for your name, email, contacts, location, photos or any other personal information. To let two players meet online, the game uses an anonymous random identifier. That is all.
What the game stores on your device
- Your statistics (wins, losses, draws, streaks). They never leave your device. You can erase them with “Reset stats” in the game.
- Your sound and music preferences.
- An anonymous session token: a random value created by the game. In a browser it is kept in a secure cookie; in the app it is kept in the app’s local storage.
What our server receives
- The anonymous session token. The server only stores a one-way hash of it, together with the time it was last seen. It is not linked to your identity or to any other identifier of your device.
- Your game moves during an online duel, so that both players see the same board. There is no chat and no way to send text, images or any other content to another player.
- Your IP address, as with any internet service. We only use a one-way hash of it for a few minutes to limit abusive traffic. We do not store it, log it in our database, or use it to locate you.
Our server is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the service, under its own privacy policy.
How long data is kept
- Finished games are deleted about one day after they end.
- Anonymous sessions are deleted after about 45 days without activity.
- Abuse-prevention counters expire within minutes.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share data with anyone. We use no advertising or analytics services.
Children
FIVE is a general-audience game. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and offers no communication between players.
Your choices
You can play without any network connection: the game then runs entirely on your device. To remove everything stored locally, clear the site data in your browser or uninstall the app. Server-side data is anonymous and expires on its own; if you want it removed sooner, contact us with the approximate date and time you played.
